The Coweta facility is staffed around the clock, so a bond does not have to wait for morning. It is one of the further counties from our office, so if you are already near the jail, tell us and we will arrange to meet you there rather than making you drive to Jackson.
Four things let us start on the first call instead of the second: the full name of the person in the Coweta County jail, confirmation that Newnan is where they were taken, their booking number, and what they were charged with. If you only have a name, call anyway. We can usually find the rest.
Once the charge is booked, bail is either set from the county's standing bond schedule or by a judge at a hearing. We confirm the amount with the jail, tell you the premium before you pay anything, and post the bond. A Georgia bail bond premium typically runs 10% to 15% of the bond amount and it is a fee, not a deposit. Some bonds also require collateral, which is released once the case ends.
