What we write

Bond types

Every bond below is one we write ourselves or arrange through a bondsman in the county where the arrest happened. If your situation is not on this list, call and ask.

Have this ready when you call

Four things let us start the paperwork on the first call instead of the second.

  1. Full nameOf the person in jailFirst, middle, last. Spelling matters more than you would think.
  2. Which jailCounty and facilityIf you are not sure, tell us where the arrest happened.
  3. Booking numberFrom the jail or inmate searchNot required to start, but it speeds everything up.
  4. The chargesWhat they were booked onThe charges determine the bond amount and the conditions.

Criminal bonds

The category most people mean when they say bail bond. It covers misdemeanor and felony charges alike, from possession and simple battery through to serious felonies. The bond amount is set by a judge at a bail hearing, or by a preset bond schedule for lesser charges, and the premium we charge is a percentage of that amount.

Traffic bonds

DUI, driving on a suspended license, no insurance, reckless driving, and failure to appear on an old citation. These are often the quickest turnarounds of the day, because the bond amounts are usually set on a schedule and there is nothing to wait on.

Juvenile bonds

For defendants under 17, handled through juvenile court rather than superior or state court. The paperwork is different, the release conditions are different, and a parent or guardian is almost always part of the process. Call us and we will walk you through what juvenile court in that county expects.

Appeal bonds

Posted after a conviction so the defendant can stay out of custody while an appeal is pending. Appeal bonds are granted at the court's discretion and are not automatic. If your attorney has told you an appeal bond is on the table, we can write it.

Federal bonds

Set in federal court, which runs on its own rules. Conditions are stricter, the review is more thorough, and the premium is higher than on a county bond. These take longer to arrange than a county bond, so the sooner you call, the better.

Co-op bonding

When the arrest happened in a county hours from Jackson, we do not make the family wait on a drive. We work with a bonding company licensed in that county, they post locally, and we handle you. From your side it is the same phone call.

Not sure which one applies? That is normal, and it is our question to answer, not yours. Call 770-560-1330 with the charge and the county and we will sort it out.
